Nearly Wordless Wednesday… These paintings are close to my heart because they were painted by my mom who is an artist specializing in Chinese painting.

Above: A foggy mountain scene with a water fall.

Above (L to R): An eagle swooping and a fish/ plant water scene.

Above: This is my favourite. It is a huge 10 x 3 foot painting of a foggy mountain top scene. It is so big that it had to be painted in 4 sections (of approx. 3 x 2.5 feet each) and meticulously combined.

Yey again….I’m first! This is my 3rd. I guess everyone’s still sleeping.
Wow! Those paintings are really fabulous. But I’d make the big one a favorite. It’s beautiful.
Thanks for passing by.

Wow, your mom is quite talented. Beautiful paintings! The last one is my favorite because it holds that kind of magical beauty where you feel compelled to step right into the scene. Love it!

Cherish these scenes forever.
Now that flooding of the Yangsi will be taking place.
Those views will only be a memory. For it was from that region one sees the mountains like that with that funny shape and rocky edges and tops.
mine is up

I LOVE the last one. There is a painter in Lake City, Colorado that has photos in groups like this…they are painted on several canvas strips and really are nice. I’ll have to grab some one day.

Absolutely gorgeous. My family only has those nasty oil paintings that look like they were done from a kit. (Don’t tell my aunt I just said that.) :) I hope your mom was able to benefit financially from this. She should have!!

Those paintings remind me of my Grandmother’s home. She had similar ones on her wall.
