    That spider is an orb weaver (one of many types). We used to see them a lot on a friend’s farm, and threw grasshoppers into their webs to watch the mayhem.

    Nice capture. I have some pictures of black widows that invaded our yard (and our front porch and garage!) recently, a couple posts back from my Wordless Wednesday post.

    Wow that is a big spider. We just found a smaller one on the front of our barn. He had to make his home right above the door…yuck! lol

    Oh, great shot!!!! What a spider. And the pattern on it, simply wonderful, never seen any one like that over here in Sweden. I love to take photos of spiders. Well, that is, if not going too close to them… *giggles*
