Spam email of the day | The Foo Logs

You can smell a scam with this one. It just cracks me up how badly written and unprofessional most of the email scams are. The stupidity of these scammers are just unbelievable. Not condoning it in anyway but if you want to scam, do it cleverly. I guess you are so busy wanting to scam and sending those 1000s of emails out that you forget the whole reason why you want to scam in the first place. It’s bad enough with spammers and scammers existing in this world but brainless ones are worse yet.

Lets breakdown the areas that jumped out at me when I was reading it:

1) If you say you are from Oxford (United Kingdom), why is your email from a gmu.edu address? That domain points to George Mason University here in Washington, DC. I know it’s a mask and a fake, but why choose a .edu address? How dumb can you be?

2) If you are Tina Howard, how come the email sender says Katie A. Walnetski?

3) Why don’t you have a website for TN fabrics and Textiles?

4) Your email reply is tnfabrics07@yahoo.de which points to Yahoo Germany. Wait a minute, didn’t you say you were from Oxford, United Kingdom?

So let me get this straight, you are Tina Howard but actually Katie A. Walnetski, you live in Oxford, have a German email address but somehow you are emailing me from a student or staff member’s account at George Mason University here in the United States.

Wow! TN fabrics and Textiles must send you all of the world. Another thing Ms. Tina Howard, Manager of TN fabrics and Textiles — have you heard of something called the spell checker? I would love to deal with your sopplies in the United Kindgom and am sure that your payments will be recieved promptly.

Hope you like my Delete Items box as that’s where you are now.

Haha, my email address seems to attract a lot of checks from foreign places. I may have around $300 waiting for me somewhere.

One of the stupidest emails I’ve received though is one that says I have a check waiting for me at Mexico, England. At least they’re only off by a few thousand miles.

I always get these stupid ass emails from NIGERIA. Sadly, I think certain people do fall for them, which is why they have become so popular.

I get these kind of spam all the time. For some reason yahoo filter still don’t work too well. I still can’t believe people still fall for these though, it’s just sad.

It is a virus that sends tons of e-mails out using the infected person’s e-mail account. Kate in this case is the girl with the virus. You should probably e-mail her and notify her. I got rid of mine but I’m still receiving failed delivery notifications that say the same exact thing as your e-mail did.

I just got the same exact spam/scam email today from darling Tina Howard. She must be oriental ‘cos if u read the email out loud it sounds like an oriental trying to speak english. Even though it’s signed Tina Howard from Oxford, it is sent from an mbhoward from Hawaii. I wish they(the FBI) could catch these a–holes. I’ve seen this sort of thing on shows like Dateline and 60 Minutes. You’d think with all of the modern technology, they would be able to trace and track down these creeps. Boy, I hope I don’t get a virus on my computer now from opening it.

ONLY $4500????? I have gotten over $575,000 all in counterfeit money orders, checks, traveler checks, and postal money orders. Postal money orders with no watermarks~~no holograms etc. I have gotten checks from banks closed for 15 years, checks from banks that have merged 7-10 years ago. Some even have misspelled words “Navel Credit Uninon” instead of Navy Credit Union Even money orders that say rub cirlce to verify NOW Tina (now sending from Anchorage ALASKA) wants me to send out the fakes……

one red flag that always means SCAM!!!!! “send to undisclosed recipients” if was real why send to so many ????

    I got this one today…. 09/24/08

    Good Day,

How is the family, I hope it`s fine. I have a Golden Opportunity for you , My Mother Mrs Tina Howard was the C.E.O of TN FABRICS AND TEXTILES, on her way coming from an International Assignment and meeting with the Branches of TN FABRICS AND TEXTILES IN ASIA, her plane got crashed and she died. I am from a Polygamous family and also i am the first child of my family.

After the burial of my mother Mrs Tina Howard, Our barrister made us to know that our mother had some money (6.5 Million United State Dollars) in a security company in Belgium (Brussels), we dont want to mismanage the money, Before she died she stated that the beneficiary of the funds must be the last person that works with the Company. we need you to stand as a beneficiary to the sum of ($6.5millions united state dollars) lying down unclaimed in the bank due to the percentage you wants .

Now i need your cooperation to claim this money because only someone who work with TN FABRICS AND TEXTILES can stand as the beneficiary. And the Banking law stipulates that any money lying unclaimed for six years will be transferred to federal government suspent account. Please i need your assistance to achieve this great chance because i do not wish this money transferred to Federal Government because it will be shared among the top directors.who are unbelievers, this people want to cheat my mother also, i don’t want it to happen , i want us to get this money out for her and help the Poor with it and also help ourselves. I need your response urgently

    Paul Howard.

I’ve been having a great time the last couple of months forwarding these types of “Nigerian-Scam” emails to a special bogus email account I set up. Then I lead them to believe that I am falling for their nonsense and send a fake name, address, etc. It wastes their time … and eventually really ticks them off! I find the right time to tell them I have been scamming THEM and I cc ALL the scammer email addresses and continue to clog their email accounts with my insulting emails! Everytime I get a “Mailer Daemon” I forward that as well to notify them that “another one bites the dust!”

I think that everyone should do that until they finally get the message … really … just keep wasting their time by leading them on!!!!
