Life’s Embarrassments | The Foo Logs

Talk about being preoccupied, these past few days, I have done a couple of dumb things …

  • On Saturday, I was shaving in the morning after a warm shower and the mirrors above the sink were foggy. Everything went about as normal (or so I thought). It was only until later in the day that my wife looked at me (at dinner) and started laughing. I asked her what was so funny and here I was looking at her with my half shaven face. I had been walking around the house and into the restaurant with only one side of my face properly clean shaven. Good thing it was dark outside and the restaurant was dim lit.

    I blame the foggy mirrors!

  • This morning when I was changing my blog over to the pink theme, I added some wordings to the top right side theme description i.e. where it says “A Blog about Life, ….”. Well, until about a couple of hours ago, it actually read:

A Blog about Life, Sport, Movies, Technology and Just about Everything else - Going “Pink in October” for National Breast Awareness Month!

Again, my wife caught it and was laughing so hard that she actually started tearing. She looked at me and started asking me what exactly I was thinking about. Meh…

They say that things happen in THREEs. Great! Is that what I have to look forward to the rest of the week? Excuse me while I dig a hole for myself, jump in and remain there the rest of this week.

I have had my fair share of embarrasments, so I understand, if that makes you feel any better. :) So I sympathize. I hope your week is more smooth than it has been.

My husband would surely be happy to help celebrate National Breast Awareness month; I doubt he’d even notice that it was a mistake.

Tense Teacher: yes, I am sure your husband would be happy to help celebrate it ;-)

Mrs. Lifecruiser: Isn’t it an easy mistake to make? I stand by that excuse and Noooo! don’t even jinx me!

:) That’s so funny! I had read that earlier and didn’t even make the connection that the “cancer” part wasn’t included. Thank God my husband is a leg man! Is leg awareness month coming up soon?

Sometimes it is so good to be able to laugh at ourselves and with others. Research has proven that with laughter, our body produces good endophins which in the long-term , reduces stress and heart attacks. So bring it on - laugh till you drop - that can only be good for you!
