So the whole buzz this week is the release of the new iPods. They are smaller, thinner and are packed with more technology. The old iPods are also being rebranded with a new name: the iPod Classic. I’m almost tempted to buy one but I already have a mini and J to stop me from doing so. The iPod Touch just makes me drool.
I bought my silver monochrome 4 GB mini years ago for $249.99. For that price I can now buy an 80 GB iPod Classic that can play videos. An 8 GB nano is also $50 cheaper at $199! I do question the current pricing disparity between an 80 GB Classic vs. a 8 GB nano i.e. $50 more buys you 10 times more disk space. The only thing you are paying for in the nano is the smaller size. I believe you will get more value for your money buying an iPod Classic. To me, I’d rather spend $50 more getting 10 times more disk space to hold more songs than getting a smaller sized iPod.
My only dislike about the new iPods are their colors. The new colors are just so cheap looking. I vote for bringing back the classy metallic color selections of old.

I agree with you on the colors, love the previous metallic colors too. I honestly can’t keep up with the changes in size of the iPods. I know people that still have the 1st and 2nd generation iPods.

I agree with you 100% on the color choice. I thought i was the only one that thought that the new colors looked to fake and cheap. They should bring back the old metallic color.
