How NOT to make a Powerpoint presentation
Posted By The Foo On 3rd October 2007 @ 14:50 In And everything else..., Humor | No Comments
This is hilarious but true. When I go to conferences and meetings, I cringe at some of the Powerpoints people make. I’ve probably seen them all… too colorful, too much information, too boring, too confusing, silly graphics, unnecessary animations etc.
This video pretty much sums up how NOT make a Powerpoint presentation. It was done by [1] Don McMillan, an engineer turned comedian famous for his corporate comedy.
In summary, when making a Powerpoint:
1. Don’t crowd your slides with too many words
2. Spell check!
3. Avoid too many bullet points
4. Eliminate bad color schemes
5. Too much data/ numbers doesn’t mean its better
6. Don’t use too many animations
7. Choose the right font
