Watched the animated movie Happy Feet yesterday. I wasn’t too interested in going to go see it but was pleasantly surprised. The music was fun and enjoyable, and had one of the best dance choreography I have ever seen in an animated movie yet. The animation isn’t like the other movies this year - there was a lot of attention to landscape, facial and perspective detail. The view of the animated movie was not from a natural observers point of view but from a different angle. Robin Williams, Elijah Wood, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and others did a good job to match their various characters. The movie does give a perfect message to everyone — being different is not necessary a bad thing and that everyone has his or her own special talent. Kudos to the producers and it certainly warrants being number one on the US box office movie charts.
So the 6th installment of Rocky came out today. I may have to watch it as I am curious which way they take the storyline (for a franchise that is way past its sell by date).
On another note, I think I’m going to gain about 30 pounds this next couple of weeks with all the Xmas cookies around me. There was Xmas cookie decorating last Sunday and there are more cookies of all colors and shapes here. Temptation of the worse nature!
Five days to Christmas and 11 more days till the end of the year. This year certainly zipped past and I look forward to a productive 2007.

I can’t get my wife to see a “kid movie”. I miss out on a lot of fun. I am still a kid at heart.

Sounds pretty good, I do so enjoy animated movies! Unfortunatly, trying to get hubby to go see them is impossible. Now Rocky, that’s something he’s into but I’m not. Maybe we can do a trade off, I see Rocky if he see’s Happy Feet.

I was thinking of taking my daughter to see Happy Feet but someone said that there are scary parts. GG is kind of a scardy cat. I think it looks like fun!

Jeff: lol, I am a child at heart too. J’s nephews wanted to see it so I had an excuse ;-)
Kristyn: better hurry, don’t think Happy Feet will be at the movies any longer. let me know whether the trade off works. :-)
Local girl: I could see there are some scary part for a 4 year old but either than that it is a lot of fun.

Let’s see, it’s the only animation picture that I ever hated. I still can’t get over how much it sucked. For me, at least.

I’ve heard very good things about Happy Feet so far and haven’t gotten a chance to see it. Rocky 6, on the other hand, just doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve seen the first five installments and I think Rocky just needs to take a break.
