Pink Panther: I “tried” to like this movie but it just didn’t impress me at all, it was one that was funny at times but it got quite annoying after a while. It was also one of those films that made the mistake of showing all its funny parts in previews (like the scene where Inspector Jacques Clouseau was trying to learn how to speak like an American). The movie centers around a soccer coach who has a big diamond ring called The “Pink Panther”, mysteriously gets killed and ole’ Inspector Closeau is sent out to “solve” the case - landing himself in America with supposely comical proportions.
Wolf Creek: A horror movie, based on a true story. The movie is set in Australia, about 3 friends travelling to a place called Wolf Creek National Park, where they spend time partying, hiking and surfing along the way. When they do reach the Park, things start to go horribly wrong when their car breaks down and a seemingly nice stranger mysteriously appears out of no where to help them - turning out to be their worst nightmare. It was a VERY SLOW movie, 3/4 of it comprised of the 3 friends hiking, driving, hiking, driving, swimming, partying, hiking again etc - scenes where they could have definitely deleted. The film was also “choppy” and very amateur like (reminiscent of “The Blair Witch Project”). When it did come to the actual horror scenes (the final 1/4 of the movie), it was somewhat gruesome. To sum it up, it is a “Texas Chainsaw meets Blair Which Project” type movie but with far less quality and appeal.

I hated Pink Panther, too. I thought it was stupid. Of course, I had to watch it with my son and 5 of his friends for his birthday party, so it was difficult to concentrate while trying to get them all to behave.
