flux_capacitor.gifI found something to put on my Xmas list.

Put it in your car, speed up to 88 mph and it’ll help you travel back (or forward) in time. It does work better with a Delorean.

For those of you who don’t have a clue what it is or what I am talking about, it is the flux capacitor from The Back to the Future movies. Very cool!

Speaking of earworms

Can’t believe I haven’t heard of this song until J told me about it. Now I am regretting ever hearing it.

“Anything you can do, I can do better!”

With the New Hampshire primaries just completed and Hillary defying the polls to win there, I couldn’t help but post this one up.

Saw this on TV last year. One of the few videos that will make you smile when you’re down. Just too cute… happy little one, isn’t he?

Couldn’t help but buy a miniature version of Charlie Brown’s pathetic Christmas tree from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I laughed myself silly when I saw this on College Humor. It’s a spoof off the TV series 24 and is what it would have been like if they made the series 10 years ago. Windows 3.1, AOL dialup, Prodigy (remember them?), floopy disks etc. … ahhh, the memories.

You’ve got to be a cat person to appreciate this one. I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I saw it on Janet’s site.

What makes it so funny is how accurately the animator has portrayed a cat. Miles does exactly this down to the scratching, pawing on the face and nudging. If he could wake me up with a baseball bat, he would probably try it too. THIS is what I go through every morning in addition to him trying to knock something off the bedside table to wake me up. It’s a lucky thing he is so lovable.

5 stars for the person that made this video and starting off my week with a laugh.

This is hilarious but true. When I go to conferences and meetings, I cringe at some of the Powerpoints people make. I’ve probably seen them all… too colorful, too much information, too boring, too confusing, silly graphics, unnecessary animations etc.

This video pretty much sums up how NOT make a Powerpoint presentation. It was done by Don McMillan, an engineer turned comedian famous for his corporate comedy.

In summary, when making a Powerpoint:

1. Don’t crowd your slides with too many words
2. Spell check!
3. Avoid too many bullet points
4. Eliminate bad color schemes
5. Too much data/ numbers doesn’t mean its better
6. Don’t use too many animations
7. Choose the right font
