I always try to eat what I paid for and more ;-) J is like you too, but us men... we are just pigs rache: with the good dishes you make and write about all the time ... now why would you even consider eating out :-) oh and pizza... another one of my weaknesses. teresa: yup... "wanting to get your money's worth" is the worse thing you can say at a buffet. don't particularly like sushi and i rarely make it to dessert being so full. yoshi: finding a cockroach! that is gross! btw, what is the name of that buffet place so I stay clear of it if I do go to St Louis... But you know, it is all you can eat, right? :P We have a chinese buffet here that we go to all the time. It's great. They're only ok on a few dishes which I'd rather have freshly made instead of sitting up at the buffet, but other than that, no complaints. :) Reminds me of one place in st.louis, we went to chinese buffet for lunch, and happened to see a cockroach running around the buffet area. never ate there again. hehe You’re right. Thank goodness my favourite buffet now has a sushi bar, so I can fill up on that before going to the hot stuff. That way I don't eat too much of the fried, grease-laden foods. When I see a buffet place, or all you can eat, I think to myself 'Yeah, I'll have some of that, couple of those', etc and only end up having a plate full of stuff before I'm full. So maybe you eat more than you should at these things, but at least it is economically viable for you :) it's expensive for me. I shall have to remember this the next time it's an option and just have an ordinary meal. The worst one I find is at pizzaria's, always think I can eat more than I actually can *sigh*.
