It was quite a productive day yesterday. J had registered for the Annual “Junk in your Trunk” sale where you can bring as much junk that will fit in your car and sell it. Weather was very good and not too hot.
I can’t believe how much junk J and I have collected during the years. The back of my SUV was full of stuff. I think we could have packed 10 more cars full of junk and still have more to sell. And we aren’t even pack rats.
We arrived at about 8 am to setup our stuff neatly in the space allotted to us and ended up selling 3/4 of the stuff we displayed. Made about $100 or so but the objective was not really to make money but to get rid of the junk. Pretty good considering the fact that almost everything was priced around the $0.50 to $4 dollar range. Managed to sell my other guitar for $30, my old Sega Dreamcast for $5 and my stepper exercise machine for $5. The person who bought those things really got some bargains. I noticed that the people that go to these junk sales are really stingy with their money and the older they get, the less they would want to spend on something. For example, there were a number of old ladies that wanted $0.50 for an item when it was priced at $1. I guess there are some that like having the feeling that they have bought an item after successfully haggling the price (even if it is 50 cents or so). Hmmm, whatever pleases them.
The junk sale finished around 1 pm and we went straight to the movies to watch the new Transformers movie. It didn’t disappointed and I loved it. I may have been a little biased considering the fact that I grew up playing the Transformer toys and must admit I still love them. Even J, who wasn’t looking forward to seeing it (she told me after the movie) said she was pleasantly surprised and actually enjoyed it.
Can’t wait to see the other movies I have missed - Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Carribean and Fantastic 4… along with a lot of other things to do for the rest of the Summer. I have to start eating more too… in the last 4 months, I have lost about 20 pounds and need to gain a little of it back. The last time I was at this weight was when I was in high school.

Just to tell everyone that I am back. This last 4 months or so has been a tough one for me mentally and physically. I have come back home and to a place I left 4 months ago… It feels like March 10, 2007.
Thanks to everyone who supported me, gave me hope, the will to fight on and never give up. It is not over yet but things are looking brighter and positive. Thanks for the well wishes and concerns in my last blog post.
The Foo Logs is back in business and I am back to doing what I love… blogging and much more.
… and J, I love you and I wouldn’t be here without you!
