The saying is true… “It’s nothing like home!” I am finally back home after two weeks at the in-laws. No matter how nice it is to stay with the in-laws and how accommodating they are, it just doesn’t feel like home - the feeling of personal space just isn’t there. Also, saying it is 2007 is just weird, it may take me a while to get used to it, I am still stuck in the 90s.

Decided to write down some of my resolutions/ goals for the year. Here are 6 realistic ones …

- To sleep earlier, have been making a habit of sleeping at 1.30 or 2 am and getting about 4-5 hours of sleep a day. No wonder I am always tired!

- To lose some weight… maybe about 5-10 pounds or so. Ideal weight — between 160-165.

- Eat better, cook at home more and not eat out too much. No Wendy’s and McDonalds (or at least try not to eat there as much)! Not only will I save money, it’ll be healthier for me and will help fulfill my previous resolution.

- 4 courses, 12 credits left for my Masters. Will try to complete it this year.

- Finish writing my book (and get it published) by June this year. I have been writing an engineering reference guide (started in the later half of last year) but stopped doing it in the final 3 months due to other commitments.

- Be happier and have a brighter outlook on life! :cheese1_ee:

I’ll probably have more goals as the year goes by but I think this is a good start.

I like writing 2007! 2006 never felt right to me, I always had to think too hard. I think ‘07 is coming easier.

    Good luck this year!

I appreciate that you have goals rather than resolutions. :)

I’m the same way with sleep. Every morning I wake up tired and vow to sleep early that night. However, come night I’m usually still up past midnight. It’s a vicious cycle!

Bro - all your goals are pretty realistic apart from the endeavouring to sleep early coz as your sis, I’ve never known you to be an ‘early to bed and early to rise kinda person’ as you have always been a night owl (or would you prefer Dracula???) haha! I will have to check with J that this goal is working……

I think everyone of us hopes to lose a couple of pounds and hopes to be trim after the Xmas and New Year festivites esp after all the over eating and merriment. So me too - and I hope to lose the flab around my belly which has been hanging around after two kids. ummmmmmm…..We will see and am starting my yoga classes again next week.

Of course, your goal to finish your Masters will make mum really pleased too.

As for being happier and having a brighter outlook on life, I could do with some of that too esp when challenging kids and life in general gets me down.

good luck and hope you achieve all your goals.

Great Goals! I share most of them. Though my loss pounds have to be around 50, and my Master credits are 30!

    Great blog! I’ll keep reading!
