Seems like there was eventually going to be a “bright spark” that creates a virus that targets Firefox browsers too. Just read this article in the St. Louis Dispatch. In my opinion … you guys just have nothing better to do, don’t you?

Now the game is on! Formula One racing has been pretty boring in the last 5+ seasons as it has lost its attractiveness with one team dominating all the time i.e. mostly Ferrari with Michael Schumacher. When it comes to a situation where I don’t even have Formula One programmed in my TIVO and I don’t even bother to check the newspaper to see who won … through lack of interest - you know that Formula One has lost that edge of excitement for me. This is coming from a die-hard fan of Formula one in the late 80s and 90s.

Last season was a refreshing change with the World Champion coming from another team namely Benetton, a likable/ modest Spaniard in Fernando Alonso. I must say that the now close point gap (11 points) and “two horse race fight to the finish” for the world championship is making my heart pump and yearn for the excitement of old namely the Senna-Prost, Hill-Schumacher, Senna-Mansell duals that were classics in the 80s. Although this rivalry might not should not be put in the same sentence as those mighty classic duals/ rivlaries (yet) … it is at least coming close to an exciting fight instead of a boring one predictable championship. Come ‘on McLaren and Williams - pull your socks up and lets make this Championship and the future of Formula One more exciting by winning some races yourselves.

I was reading a good article from Beep.name that talked about Google being “considered” a verb and recently being included in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. It just made me think into how it relates to the modern day where proper verbs and nouns aren’t used, i.e. company names and trademarks are used (sometimes unknowingly) instead. Thus is the power of the company/ company brand to etch it deep into our subconscious mind. Most of the time, we say it almost unknowingly, associating the company name/ brand/ trademark with the action we are doing instead. In essence we are diluting the Trademark of the company. I do it all the time…. here are some examples: Continue Reading »

1 can (6 1/2 ounces) crabmeat, shells removed
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 teaspoon steak sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
24 wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil, for frying

Mix crabmeat, cream cheese, steak sauce, and garlic powder together in a medium bowl. Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water; fold in half diagonally and press edges to seal. Repeat with remaining filling and wonton wrappers. Heat 1/4-inch oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When oil is hot (around 350 degrees F), carefully add the wontons, in batches as necessary, and fry until lightly browned, about 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Remove to a paper towel-lined platter to drain before serving.

Life without a computer and email continued. I am back up and running! Anxiously waited for my computer yesterday and FEDEX faithfully brought it at 2pm. So my 5-7 day agonizing wait for getting Compaq to repair it turned out for me more like 10 days but hey I got it back. Did have a loaner computer to use (from the in-laws) but somehow it is not the same as using your own. Just reloaded my backup and I am good to go. I feel “normal” again. Until someone comes up with a cure I’ll always have the “NeedtogetyouremaiLISM” and CannotbewithoutacomputerLISM” disease.
